Peel Ply Cloth is 100cm (40in) wide and sold by the metre (40in). It features a woven red line to ensure all peel ply is completely removed after use.
Peel ply is a popular type of release fabric with multiple applications in epoxy laminating. Made from tightly woven nylon, it weighs approximately 55 grams per square metre and is treated with a special finish that prevents bonding with epoxy and polyester.
When placed over a wetted epoxy laminate, peel-ply can be easily smoothed using a plastic squeegee. Its porous nature allows excess resin to pass through, resulting in a laminate with a higher fibre-to-resin ratio.
These products have been designed and tested in a professional environment to assist in board building. We provide these products with the assumption that the builder has some prior knowledge of board building processes.
