Breather cloth is an essential material used in carbon fiber vacuum bagging to ensure even airflow and effective pressure distribution throughout the vacuum bagging process. Its key purposes include:

• Airflow Management: It allows air and excess resin to flow uniformly across the surface, preventing air pockets and ensuring a smooth laminate.
• Pressure Distribution: The breather cloth evenly spreads the vacuum pressure over the entire surface, ensuring consistent compaction of the laminate layers.
• Resin Absorption: It helps absorb and remove excess resin that bleeds through, reducing weight and improving the fiber-to-resin ratio.

Breather cloth is typically placed between the vacuum bag and the peel ply or perforated release film, ensuring the vacuum system operates efficiently.
