Foiling started as a simple curiosity and quickly became something we couldn’t stop thinking about. That enthusiasm is what guides Foil Tec. Inspired by the ocean and focused on performance, we’re building the gear we’ve always wanted - reliable equipment designed for the future of foiling.
Based in northern New South Wales, Australia - now an international hub for foiling - we were lucky enough to be among the first on the east coast to dive into the sport. Being early adopters gave us a front-row seat to the evolution of foiling and shaped our vision for what great gear should be. When we couldn’t find the right equipment for building foilboards, we started creating our own - and that’s how Foil Tec was born.
Foil Tec specialises in manufacturing products and accessories designed specifically for foiling - from high-performance components to premium board-building materials. We officially launched around 2020 after spending years crafting foilboards using surf hardware that just wasn’t made for the job. Seeing a clear gap in the market, we set out to create what didn’t exist: gear made specifically for foiling, by foilers who understood exactly what was needed from the ground up.
Backed by nearly a decade of hands-on experience in board construction, we’ve developed a growing range of hardware, inserts, and construction systems tailored to the unique demands of foiling. Every product is engineered for strength, reliability, and performance - whether you're shaping custom boards or pushing limits in the water.
What started in the garage has grown into a full-scale business building innovative, high-end gear for riders and shapers around the world. We’re proud to work with top riders and respected brands like Majek Foilboards by Glenn Pang, Amundson Customs, Amos Shapes, 270 Board Co., and more to refine and test everything we bring to market. Whether you're building boards or building a brand, Foil Tec is here to support the future of foiling - from the workshop to the water.
We’re also proud to say that even as we grow and reach international markets, we’re still a family-owned and operated business. That keeps us grounded, hands-on, and connected to our roots. Our incredible team riders play a huge role in our R&D process, helping us test, refine, and push every product to its limits.
